Our office is in a busy part of town on Kalbadevi Main Kasturba Road. We are in building number 4, specifically in rooms 401 and 402 B. Being on the fourth floor means we get a bit of a view of the street, though mostly it’s just rooftops and wires. It’s always crowded downstairs with people buying and selling all sorts of things. Up here, it’s a bit quieter. We have a few computers and a printer that needs a good kick every now and then to start working. At Cirrus Travels Pvt Ltd, we deal with a lot of international bookings. That means we stay late sometimes to talk to people in different time zones. The desks are covered in sticky notes. We use a lot of those. There’s a small area where we keep the water cooler and some biscuits. We don't really have a reception desk, people just walk in and talk to whoever is free. We’ve spent many years in this spot. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. It feels like a second home to most of us by now. We just focus on the screens and the phones. Every day is different depending on who walks through the door or what the airlines are doing with their prices. We just try to get everything filed away before we head home for the evening.
