Chocolove is situated in Bandra West at C/14. It’s a small shop in a neighborhood that has changed quite a bit since we first arrived. We have a small glass display case where we keep the items we’ve made. The space is quite narrow, so only a few people can stand inside at once. We spend a lot of time working with the ingredients in the back area, which is separated by a simple curtain. Bandra West is a lively place, and there are always people walking their dogs or heading to the cafes nearby. Our shop is more of a quiet corner. We use basic equipment and don’t have much in the way of high-tech machinery. The walls are painted a light color, but they need a new coat soon. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and we can see the rhythm of the neighborhood from there. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the parking and the narrow roads, but that’s just how it is at C/14. We don’t do any big advertising; people usually find us just by walking past. It’s a small, independent operation. We keep the counters clean and try to make sure everything is presented neatly in the jars. It’s a steady job, and we enjoy being part of the local scene here in Bandra. The door squeaks a bit when people come in, and the floor has a few scratches from moving the display case around.
