We work out of flat number 703 in Wing A of the Vindhiacha building over in Bandra West. Since it’s a residential flat, you won’t find a sign on the street or anything like that. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just knowing we’re here. The main table in the living room is usually where all the packing happens. We started making these sweets for our own kids and then their friends’ parents started asking for some too. Now the kitchen is basically a small production line. It gets quite hot in Bandra, so the air conditioning has to stay on all day so the chocolate doesn't melt into a mess. Sometimes the lift in the building breaks down, and we end up carrying heavy bags of supplies up seven floors. It’s not always easy, but we make it work. We don't have any professional chefs here, just a couple of us who have learned by trial and error over the years. All the tempering and molding is done by hand without any fancy equipment. People often give us a call when they are at the gate so we can bring their orders down to them. It feels more like a hobby that got out of hand than a real business. We like the personal feel of running things from home and knowing our customers.
