Chocolaties

Our little spot is called Chocolaties, and you can find us in Khar West at Kim Char Rasta. We are inside the New Laxmi Society, specifically at 306 on 21st Road. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the main market. We make all kinds of sweets and chocolates in our kitchen here. It’s not a big factory or anything, just a few of us working together. Most of the time the whole place smells like melted sugar and cocoa. We spend hours wrapping each piece by hand because we don’t have those big machines. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a proper shop window where you can see the chocolates from the street. Usually, people just call us or come up to the flat to pick up their orders. Khar West is always crowded, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We’ve been here for a few years now and most of our customers are people from the nearby buildings. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just make the sweets and hope people like them enough to come back. Sometimes we try new recipes if we have some extra time, but mostly we stick to what we know. It’s a simple life and we like being our own bosses in this little corner of the city.
