Chocobytes

You can find us at Shop 7 in Premvasundhara Society over in Andheri East. It’s a modest little spot where we spend most of our hours working with chocolate. The whole place usually smells like cocoa and sugar, which isn't a bad way to spend your day. We’re not a big factory or anything like that. It’s just us, some bowls, and the cooling racks. We do everything in small batches because that’s just how we learned to do it. Sometimes the temper of the chocolate isn't quite right and we have to start over, which can be frustrating, but that’s part of the job. We get a lot of people from the society and the nearby buildings dropping in to see what we’ve made for the day. Our counters aren't always perfectly arranged, and sometimes we’re still finishing things up when someone walks in. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything fancy. We just rely on the fact that people like what we make. It gets pretty warm in the shop during the summer, so we have to be careful with the storage. We’ve been at Premvasundhara Society for a bit now and it feels like home. We aren't looking to become a giant chain. We just want to keep making our sweets and chatting with the locals who come by. It’s a simple business, and we’re quite happy with that.
