Chaurasia Pan & General Store

Down in Andheri East, Chaurasia Pan & General Store is a small spot where people stop for just about anything. We have the usual pan supplies, but we also keep a bit of everything else on the shelves. It’s the kind of shop where you can grab a pack of biscuits or a bottle of water while you wait for your pan to be made. The space is tight, and we’ve got stuff stacked almost to the ceiling. Andheri East is always moving, so we open early and stay open until late. You see all sorts of people here, from office workers in suits to the guys who drive the trucks. We don’t have any fancy decorations. It’s just the counter and the jars and the boxes. The air smells like sweet betel nut and tobacco most of the time. We’ve been in this same spot for years, watching the buildings around us get taller. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to people while we work. We know most of the neighbors by name. Sometimes we run out of change, which can be a bit of a headache, but we manage. It’s a simple life, running a shop like this. We don’t try to make it look like something it’s not. It’s just a store on a street where you can get what you need and move on with your day.
