Chaitanya Travles

Down in Kurla West at Dwarka Bhavan, you'll find us. We’re in the Sable Building right on Chitra Talkies Road. It’s a lively neighborhood, especially with the cinema nearby. You can always smell the street food from the stalls outside our front door. Chaitanya Travles is a small operation. It’s mostly just me and one other person handling the phones and the walk-ins. The office space is a bit cramped because we have so many files from over the years. We probably should digitize more, but there’s something about paper that just feels more real. Sometimes the ceiling fan rattles a bit, but it keeps the place cool enough. People come in to book buses for weddings or just a quick trip back to their village. We know most of the drivers by name. It’s a bit chaotic during the peak months when everyone wants to travel at once. We don't use any fancy booking systems, just what works. I’ve been in this building for years and seen businesses come and go, but we’ve managed to stick around. I think it’s because we don't try to act like we’re more than we are. We just provide tickets and try to make sure the timing is right. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough.
