Candies

If you’ve ever walked down St Andrews Road in Pali Hill, you probably noticed us. Candies is tucked away near Learners Academy, and it’s a bit of a maze inside. We’ve got different levels and all sorts of odd decorations we’ve picked up over the years. It’s not your typical streamlined restaurant. It’s a bit messy and crowded, especially on weekends when everyone in Bandra seems to show up at once. We spend our days refilling the display cases with sandwiches and salads. The kitchen is always a bit chaotic, but somehow the food gets out. We’re not trying to be fancy or anything. It’s just a place to grab a bite and sit for a while. The stairs are a bit steep and the corners are tight, but people don’t seem to mind much. We’ve got a lot of young people coming in, and some older folks who have been visiting since we first opened. We’re just a local business trying to keep up with the Mumbai pace. There’s always music playing and the sound of people talking. It gets loud and sometimes it’s hard to find a seat, but that’s just how it goes here. We don't have a big marketing team. It's just us, the food, and this old building in Pali Hill. We like it that way, even when it’s a bit much to handle.
