If you're walking down J.S.S. Road in Chira Bazar, you might see Plumber House at number 557. That's where we are, up on the first floor in Office 14. Brahmani Buildcon Llp is basically just a small team of us working out of this old building. It's a crowded part of Mumbai, but we like being right in the middle of the action. Chira Bazar has a specific feel to it, very traditional and busy all the time. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and going over the day's schedule before heading out to various sites. The office is a bit cramped with all the files and samples lying around, but it works for what we need. We've been around this neighborhood long enough to know most of the shopkeepers downstairs. Dealing with construction in such a packed area is never easy, but we've figured out how to manage the logistics. We don't use big words or fancy presentations here. Usually, it's just us explaining how a wall needs to be built or why a pipe needs moving. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult, especially with the old drainage around here, but we manage. Being in Mumbai City means you have to be fast, but we try to take enough time to get things right. There is always someone knocking on the door with a question about a leak or a new wall. We don't mind. It keeps us on our toes and helps us stay connected to J.S.S. Road.
