Our place is located over at Malabar Hill on the New Link Road. We are on the ground floor of Navyug Niketan, at number 185. It is a pretty quiet spot for the most part compared to the rest of the city. We spend most of our time out on the streets though, showing people the old buildings and the history that is still standing around Mumbai. It started because we just liked walking around and looking at the architecture ourselves. Now it's what we do every day. We don't really do the big bus tours because you miss too much when you are behind glass. Walking lets you see the small details on the walls and smell the food from the street stalls. Malabar Hill has some interesting spots, but we go all over the city depending on the day. The office is really just where we keep our maps and books and handle the bookings that come in. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to get the walks done early or later when it cools down a bit. We aren't a big corporate setup, just some folks who know the roads well and enjoy sharing stories of the places we pass. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, but we usually just grab an umbrella and keep going. It is a simple way to spend the day and we don't think too much about it. Most guests find us by word of mouth or through small flyers we leave around in local cafes.
