Bombay Bottles & Essence Mart

You can find us over at Khargate on M. G. Road, tucked away right behind Dastendawala. It’s an old building, but it holds everything we need. We sell all sorts of bottles and different essences. It’s a strange mix of things, but people around here need them for their own small businesses or for making things at home. The shelves are packed high with glass—clear ones, brown ones, big and small. You have to be careful walking through the aisles because space is a bit tight. We’ve been in this location for a long time. The street outside is always busy with people walking to the market. Sometimes it’s hard for the delivery trucks to get in because the lane is narrow. We spend a lot of time bubble-wrapping things so nothing breaks. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. Some people come in looking for a specific scent for their soaps, and others just want a hundred jars for pickles. We just take it one customer at a time. It’s a quiet life inside the shop, even if M. G. Road is noisy. We enjoy seeing what people are making with the supplies they get from us. It keeps things interesting in this little corner of the city.
