Bollywood Tour

We are based in the Hotel Sheel Building, right at number 23, Manoh Fort. If you know where the CSTM GPO side is, we are just opposite that. It’s a very central spot in the city. There are always tourists and office workers rushing past our door every single minute. We organize tours for people who want to see the film side of things. It’s not like what you see on TV or in the magazines; it’s just us making a lot of phone calls and arranging white vans. The building is quite older and has that typical Mumbai feel to it, with high ceilings and old pipes. Our office isn't very large, mostly just filled with maps and some old film posters we’ve collected. We spend a lot of time on the phone with studios or drivers, trying to see who is filming where. It gets pretty hectic during the holiday seasons when everyone wants a tour at the same time. Sometimes we have to explain to people that they might not actually meet a famous actor, but we try to show them the real sets and how things work. We’ve been at this location for years now. We know the guys at the tea stall outside and the post office workers across the street. It’s a noisy place to work because of the trains and the buses, but we like the energy. We don't have a big marketing team. We just talk to people who walk in. It’s a straightforward business. We just try to keep the schedules on track.
