Bobby Kulfi Ice Cream

Bobby Kulfi Ice Cream is at 23-26 in Mazgaon. We’ve been in this little spot for a good while. It’s mostly just freezers and a small counter where we serve the kulfi. It’s not a place where you sit down for a long time. Most people just grab their stick or plate and stand outside on the pavement. The street can be a bit dusty, but we try to keep our little area clean. We make the kulfi in big batches and freeze them overnight. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to mess with the generator, which is always a headache. The floors are concrete and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s okay for what we do. We have a few different flavors, but we mostly stick to the ones people have always liked. It’s a family thing, so there’s usually one of us behind the counter from morning until late at night. The kids from the neighborhood come by after school, and that’s usually our busiest time. It gets sticky with all the sugar and milk, so we are always wiping things down with a damp cloth. We don’t use any fancy machines, just the old way of doing things. It’s a simple life, just freezing stuff and selling it to whoever walks by. Nothing fancy about it.
