We are located right at 5 Opposite Versova Police Station. If you know the Versova area, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. The shop is small and usually smells like damp earth and cut grass. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside when we have a lot of stock coming in. The police station across the street is a good landmark for people who get lost trying to find the unit. I start the day pretty early, usually before the traffic really starts picking up on the main road. The humidity in Versova can be tough on the flowers, so there is always someone around spraying water or moving buckets into the shade. It’s not a glamorous job. My hands are usually stained or have little nicks from the thorns and wire. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations for the shop itself because we’re too busy actually working. The floor stays wet most of the day. Customers come in looking for something specific, and we just do what we can with what’s available that morning. Sometimes the trucks from the market are late, and then everyone is rushing to catch up. It’s a bit chaotic, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it over the years. We just stay here and keep things moving. It’s a honest living and the neighborhood knows where to find us in Versova.
