Birthday Junction

We opened Birthday Junction in the Parijat Building near the old Ramchandra Theatre. Being in Dombivli East, we see a lot of families coming through. The shop is small and usually full of balloons and decorations we’re prepping for the next party. We mainly focus on kids' birthdays, but we end up doing all sorts of celebrations because people ask us to. It started out as a small idea and just grew as more neighbors started coming in. We don't have a big marketing team; it's mostly just us and a couple of helpers who come in when things get busy. Saturday and Sunday are usually our longest days because that's when everyone wants their party set up. We spend a lot of time blowing up balloons and making sure the themes look okay. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the different orders, but we manage to get them out the door. We aren't doing anything fancy, just helping people get their parties ready without them having to worry about the decor themselves. The area around Ganesh Mandir Road is always lively, which makes it a fun place to work. We like seeing the kids' faces when they see the room all decorated. It’s hard work, especially the cleanup, but it's what we do and we’ve gotten used to the long hours and the glitter everywhere.
