We have been sitting here on the first floor of Birla Mansion-2 for quite a while now. Most people know the spot near Prathana Samaj on Dr D D Sathe Road, as it is a busy corner of Charni Road. We spend most of our mornings sorting out papers and taking calls about train tickets or bus routes. It is just a small office with a few desks and a lot of files. Sometimes the old ceiling fan makes a bit of noise, but we get things done regardless. Mumbai can be a hectic place to get around, so we just try to help folks figure out where they need to go without too much fuss. If you walk up to the first floor, you will find us easily enough. We are not some big fancy corporation with glass walls and expensive rugs. It is just us here in the old building. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years, but Birla Viking Travels stays pretty much the same. We handle a lot of the usual travel stuff, like bookings and itineraries for families or people traveling for work. There is always someone coming in to ask about a flight or a hotel somewhere far away. We just sit down, look at the screens, and see what is available. It is practical work. No one here wears a suit, we just dress for the weather and keep the coffee going. It is a decent way to spend the day, helping neighbors get their plans sorted.
