Bhavdeep Engineering Works

Bhavdeep Engineering Works is located over in Gala No. 2 within the Khanu Compound. It’s right near Jay Ganesh Society, so it’s easy enough to find if you are wandering around Dindoshi in Malad East. The Gakv Marg can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when delivery trucks are trying to get through the narrow turns. Our little workshop is pretty crowded with machinery and parts, but we know where everything is. We spend our hours fixing things, machining parts, and dealing with the usual challenges that come with running a small engineering shop in Mumbai. There is always a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of cutting oil in the air. It’s not a quiet place, but the noise means things are getting done. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years from our spot in the compound. Some days the humidity makes the work feel heavier, but we just grab a tea from the stall nearby and get back to it. It’s just a few of us here, making sure we handle the tasks that come through our door without too much fuss. We don’t bother with big fancy signs or anything; the work on the bench is what matters. If you are coming from Malad station, it takes a little while in an auto, but we are always here during the regular hours, tucked away behind the main road. We keep at it every day.
