Bhagyashri Travels

Bhagyashri Travels is located at 81 Bhandup Adhyapark Colony in Shakar Nagaer Number 1. We are right near the bus stop, so we hear the buses coming and going all day long. The office is a simple room with a few chairs and a desk where we handle the bookings. There are usually people hanging around waiting for their departure time. We spend a lot of time on the phone, answering questions about ticket prices and bus timings. It’s a busy place, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is trying to get out of the city. We have a bunch of old schedules pinned to the wall and a small TV that’s usually on the news. It gets quite warm in here in the afternoons, so we keep the fan on high. We aren't a big fancy travel agency with brochures. We just help people get where they need to go. We know most of the regular travelers who use this stop. Sometimes the buses are late because of the traffic on the main road, and we have to explain that to the passengers. We keep a ledger for the money and the seat numbers. It is a lot of talking and organizing, but we’ve been doing it here in Bhandup for many years now. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nobody misses their ride. It’s plain work but it keeps the day going fast.
