Beena Travels Agency is tucked away in Sargnet House, over in Natraj Society. If you know Baghad Road, you know it’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We’ve been at number 9 for years. It’s a small setup. We have a few desks and some old chairs for people to sit while we look up tickets. Most of our day is spent on the phone or staring at computer screens trying to find a seat on a bus or a train that isn't already full. It can be a bit stressful when it’s holiday season and everyone wants to go to the same place at the same time. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People mostly find out about us from their cousins or friends who live nearby. We just try to be helpful. If someone needs to get somewhere, we see what the options are. Sometimes we tell people it’s better to wait a day or take a different route if it saves them some hassle. It’s a local business, plain and simple. We know the regulars who come in every month to book their travel back home. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where work gets done. We keep things moving and try to make sure the paperwork is sorted so nobody gets stuck at the station. It is a humble life but we like the people.
