Baskin Robbins

Our Baskin Robbins is located over at Kelwadi on L J Road, specifically near 7th Main and 4th Cross in the Deewanara Palya 1 area. The shop is quite small, but we managed to fit in all the big freezers that hold the different tubs of ice cream. It is always a few degrees cooler inside the shop than it is out on the sidewalk, which feels nice during the summer months. We spend a lot of time wiping down the glass tops of the freezers because they get fogged up from the cold or covered in smudges from people leaning on them. The scoops are kept in a small sink with running water, and the sound of that water is a constant background noise here. We have a few posters on the walls that have faded over time, but they still show the different options we have available for everyone to see. The floor is made of white tiles that we have to mop several times a day to keep the sticky spots away. Most of the kids from the nearby houses come in during the late afternoon, and they often take a long time to decide what they want. We don't have much room for people to sit, so most customers just take their cones or cups and walk back out onto L J Road. It is a simple job of keeping things cold and serving people as they come in through the front door.
