We are over at Sonawala 362, running this Baskin Robbins outlet. It is a pretty simple setup, tucked into the building where the foot traffic is steady. Most of our day is spent watching the temperature gauges on the freezers to make sure nothing melts. It is a small space, so when more than four people come in at once, it feels crowded. We have the usual selection of tubs lined up behind the glass. We do not do much besides scooping and ringing up the register. Sometimes the power flutters and we have to worry about the stock, but usually, things go smoothly. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it is okay for now. We get a lot of office workers in the afternoon who need a break from their desks. They do not talk much, just get their cup or cone and head back out. We try to keep the floor swept, though the sugar from the cones always seems to find its way into the corners. It is not the most exciting job in the world, but it is decent and keeps us busy. We know which flavors are going to sell out first, so we try to order extra, but sometimes we still run short. It is just a regular neighborhood ice cream shop where we do our best to get the orders right and keep the place tidy for everyone.
