Baskin Robbins

This branch is tucked away in the Halley Tower over at Evershine Millennium Paradise in Phase 5 of Thakur Village. Bandra West is a busy area but this specific corner feels a bit more like a neighborhood spot where people walk their dogs or take their kids out after dinner. Working here means spending a lot of time around the big freezers. You can hear the hum of the machines all day long and it keeps the place cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We have all the different colors in the tubs and sometimes it is hard to keep the scoops clean when everyone wants something different at the same time. The floor is mostly tile and we have to be careful about drips because ice cream gets really tacky when it melts. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us taking turns behind the counter. Sometimes we run out of the favorite cones and have to explain it to disappointed customers but we usually have the cups ready. It is a pretty straightforward job scooping out portions and ringing up the register. We see a lot of the same faces from the nearby buildings every week. It is just a regular shop where we try to keep the freezer running and the lights on for anyone looking for something cold.
