Bang On Event

Our little office is located in Sai Seva Sangam Society, over in Laxmi Nagar. If you’re driving down New Link Road in Goregaon West, you’ve probably passed by our area a dozen times. We are right next to the Mahakali Temple, which makes it very easy to give people directions. We do event planning, mostly helping people with weddings and local celebrations. The office isn't anything special to look at—just a room where we keep our files and meet with people to talk about their plans. Goregaon is a busy place, and we are right in the middle of that energy. We spend a lot of our time visiting different venues or meeting with caterers and decorators to see what they have available. We don't have a big staff, so we end up doing a bit of everything ourselves. Sometimes we’re hauling boxes and other times we’re sitting here trying to fix a schedule on the computer. We like the neighborhood feel of being in a society rather than a big glass office building. It feels more personal. We’ve been doing this for a while and have learned that the most important thing is just showing up and making sure the chairs and lights are where they should be. It’s a lot of coordination and a bit of stress when the monsoon hits, but we manage. People usually just drop by to chat about their ideas, and we see what we can do to help them out.
