Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd has an office located in Dahisar East at the Gopal Nandanvan Society. We are situated right on SV Road, which is one of the busiest stretches in this part of Mumbai. The office is in building B-403, and it feels more like a home than a corporate headquarters because it's inside a residential society. We have been here for a while, and the neighbors all know who we are. Every morning involves a bit of a climb or a wait for the lift, then we settle in for the day’s tasks. Since we are on SV Road, there is constant noise from the buses and cars outside, but you get used to it after a week. Our desks are a bit old, and the files are stacked pretty high in the corners, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone trying to sell things to people walking by. We just focus on our specific part of the business and try to keep things organized. Lunch usually involves everyone sitting together and sharing whatever they brought from home. It is a very casual atmosphere where no one wears a suit unless they absolutely have to. We are just a group of people working in a regular society office, trying to make sure the paperwork is done on time. It is not a glamorous life, but it is our daily reality here in Dahisar.
