Tema India Limited

If you head over to Ballard Estate, you’ll find us at Hamilton House on the third floor. It’s a grand old building on J. N. Heredia Marg, which is one of those streets that feels like it’s from another time. The architecture around here is really something, with all those heavy stone walls and high ceilings. Tema India Limited has been based in this part of town for years. Walking to the office in the morning is quite nice, especially when the weather isn’t too hot. The stairs in Hamilton House are old, but they’ve held up well. Our office is a mix of old-fashioned style and whatever modern stuff we need to get through the day. We have plenty of windows that look out over the street, though the view is mostly other old buildings. It’s a quiet place to work compared to the rest of Mumbai. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at drawings and spreadsheets. The staff usually grabs lunch at one of the small places tucked away in the lanes nearby. It’s not a flashy corporate glass tower, and we prefer it that way. There is a lot of history in these walls. We just come in, do our bit for the company, and deal with the usual city life. It feels like a solid place to be.
