Bag Ideal

Bag Ideal is located in the Juni Masjid Compound, which is right on the corner of Guruwar Peth Road and Maulana Azad Road. It is a busy junction and there is always something going on outside our windows. We have been making bags in this compound for quite a while now. The space is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We have several sewing machines lined up and someone is almost always sitting at them from early morning until late evening. We make all kinds of bags, from simple cotton ones to things a bit more heavy-duty. It gets quite loud with all the machines running at once and the traffic noise coming in from Maulana Azad Road. We don't have any professional designers or anything like that. We just make things based on what has worked before or what the customer describes to us. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and have to wait for the supplier to come by the next day. It’s a very local business and we know most of the people who walk past our door. We don't bother with anything corporate or polished. We just focus on getting the seams straight and making sure the handles are attached properly. It is steady work and it keeps us occupied.
