Babita Electric Hardware Stores

You can find Babita Electric Hardware Stores at Shop No 14 on the ground floor of the Puran building in Dharavi. We are right opposite the Ashok Mill Compound, which is a very busy landmark around here. Our shop is filled with all sorts of electrical parts, wires, tools, and hardware bits. It is a small space, so we have things stacked all the way to the ceiling. If you need something specific, you usually have to ask us because it’s probably tucked away behind something else. We don’t have a fancy display or a big staff. It is just us and maybe one helper on the busy days. Dharavi is a place that never really stops, so there is always a lot of noise and dust coming in from the street. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We don't use any marketing or professional slogans. We just open the shop early and stay until the work is done. People come to us because they need a bulb replaced or a switch fixed and they know we have the parts. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped in here when three or four customers come in at once, but we manage. It’s a basic, local hardware store where we do our own accounting and manage the stock ourselves. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but it’s what we know how to do.
