Avani Chocolates

Down in Kandivali at Arekere Mico Layout, 1st Main, 1st stage 101 B, you’ll find Avani Chocolates. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but it’s where we do everything. The area is mostly residential with some small businesses mixed in. Our spot at 101 B is where we spend our mornings and late nights. When the machines are running, the whole block can usually smell what’s going on. We aren't a giant factory. It’s a small operation with just a few of us. We do a lot of the work by hand because that’s just how we learned to do it. The kitchen area takes up most of the space, leaving just a small corner for the desk and the phone. It gets pretty warm in here, especially in the afternoons. We try to keep things tidy, but when you're working with chocolate, things tend to get a bit sticky on the tables. The shelves are filled with molds and ingredients we use every day. We don't have a fancy storefront with big glass windows. People who know us just come to the door at 101 B. It’s a quiet life here in the Mico Layout. We mostly just focus on getting the orders ready for whoever needs them. It’s practical work, and we’re happy to be doing it right here in Kandivali. We’ve been in this stage of the layout for years now.
