Ashwin Farsan Mart

We are Ashwin Farsan Mart and our shop is located at A-2/37 in Sion. This is a place where we sell all kinds of snacks and farsan. The shop is small and filled with bags of different items like gathiya, papdi, and sev. We’ve been in this spot in Sion for many years now. Every day we spend time making sure the stock is ready and the bags are sealed properly. Sion is a very crowded area and there is always a lot of movement outside the shop. Many people stop by on their way home from the station to pick up something to eat with their evening tea. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the sales and the packing. The shelves are packed tight because we try to keep a good variety of snacks available. It’s a very simple business model; people come in, choose what they want, and we weigh it for them. We have many elderly customers who have been buying from us since we first opened. We often have small chats with them about how the neighborhood has changed over time. The shop doesn't have any bright lights or modern displays. It’s just a regular local mart where you get your snacks. We work long hours, from morning until late evening, but we are happy to be a part of the daily life here in Sion. The floor gets a bit messy with crumbs, but we clean it up before closing.
