Ashish Engineering Works

We are based in the Sonal Industrial Estate, specifically in unit C-1. This is an engineering workshop, so it is definitely not a clean or quiet place. We have several lathes and drilling machines that have been with us for a long time. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there is always a bit of oil around. I started this place because I liked working with my hands. We do a lot of custom work for the other factories in the area. It is hard on the hands and my nails are always black with grease, no matter how much I scrub them. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you just walk right into the shop floor. I usually have a pencil behind my ear and a notebook in my pocket for sketches. We have a small wooden table where we take our tea breaks. The tea comes from the stall at the corner of the estate. Sometimes the machines break down and I have to spend the whole night fixing them so we don't fall behind on our work. It is not the kind of job where you go home at five every day. We don't have any big brochures or sales people. Our work usually speaks for itself when people see the parts we make. It is just a local engineering shop doing its bit every day in the estate.
