Asha Tours & Travels is found at Malad East on Daftary Road, number 9. This part of Malad is always humming with activity, and our office is right in the middle of it. We are a small team and we have been working from this Daftary Road location for a long time. The office has a very lived-in feel to it, with calendars on the walls and stacks of old ledgers. We don't do things the corporate way; we just talk to people like they are our neighbors, because usually they are. A lot of our day is spent on the phone talking to bus operators or airlines. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait for us to print out their itineraries. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but everyone around here is used to that. We don't have a website that does everything automatically; we prefer to do the bookings ourselves to make sure nothing gets missed. It is a simple way of doing business, but it works for us. We handle a lot of pilgrims and families who are visiting relatives in other states. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just show up in the morning, open the shutters, and start working on whatever bookings came in the night before. It is a steady, honest kind of work that we enjoy.
