Arun Provision Stores

Arun Provision Stores is located over at Dadar West 2. It’s a regular shop where we keep all the basic things people need for their homes. Dadar is always crowded, especially near the station, so there is a lot of movement outside our shop all day long. We open up pretty early in the morning because that’s when people like to get their supplies before starting their day. We spend a lot of time just putting things back on the shelves and checking what’s running low. It’s a lot of bending and reaching, especially for the items kept on the higher racks. We have these big sacks of grains and pulses that we have to move around, which is quite a workout. The shop isn't fancy at all; it’s just filled with boxes and bags. We’ve known some of our customers for years, and they usually stop for a quick chat while they’re buying their stuff. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when too many people come in at once, but we just take them one by one. The lights are a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is kept. It’s just a normal provision store life. We keep the floor swept and the counter clear as much as possible. It’s about being there for the neighborhood and making sure the basics are available at Dadar West 2.
