Our workshop is at Gala No 2 in Rajubhai Chawl. It’s tucked away near Yesu in the Darukhana area of Malad East, right opposite the Dutta Mandir. Being in the 3rd lane of Kassara means it can be a little hard to find if you’re new to the neighborhood. We focus on various artistic works and signs. It’s a small space, mostly filled with paints, brushes, and different materials we use for our projects. The chawl is a busy place, and we’ve been here long enough that everyone knows us. We don't have a secretary or a lobby. When you come in, you'll see us working on whatever order came in that morning. The floor usually has some paint spills on it, but that's just part of the job. Malad East is always crowded, especially near the temple. We hear the bells from the mandir all day long. It's a nice sound to work to. We don't really do much advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw a sign we made for someone else. We use simple tools and take our time with things. It’s not about being fast; it’s about making it look right. We keep our supplies in old tins and boxes. Some of our brushes are quite old but they still work fine. We’ve been part of this little community for a long time and we like staying in our small gala where we can just focus on the art.
