Arora Punjabi Kulfi

It gets pretty hot here in Antop Hill, so keeping the freezers running at Arora Punjabi Kulfi is basically what we do all day. We’re tucked away on U M Lane, right by Chickpet Cross 354. It’s not a huge place or anything fancy. Just a spot where we freeze the milk and set the sticks. Most days start early with the deliveries coming in. The lane gets narrow when the trucks arrive, which is a bit of a headache, but we manage. People walk past and usually stop if they need something cold. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the kulfi keeps people coming back anyway. You’ll see us mostly in our aprons, just moving things around or cleaning up the counters after a rush. It’s loud out on the street with the traffic from the cross, but inside it’s just the hum of the machines. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is ready by noon. Sometimes the power flickers, and we all panic for a second because of the ice cream, but it usually stays on. It's a simple life here. We just focus on the kulfi and try to stay out of the sun. If you’re ever wandering around the 354 area, you’ll likely find us just sitting on the stool out front during a quiet minute.
