Our office is on the first floor of the Air Condition Market Building in Tardeo. If you've ever been to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Marg, you know it's a crowded part of Mumbai. It’s got that old-school business feel to it. We deal with roofing and facades under the name Armourmet. It’s not flashy work, but it’s necessary stuff for buildings in a city that sees so much rain and sun. The building we are in has been around for ages, and it shows. There's a lot of noise from the street outside, but we've gotten used to it over time. Usually, there are three or four of us here at any given time, looking over drawings or talking to suppliers on the phone. We don't spend much on decorating the place because we’re mostly focused on the technical side of things. Sometimes we go out to sites across the city to see how the installation is going. It's hot, dusty work most of the time. We aren’t trying to be some big corporate entity with a polished image. We just know how roofs and building exteriors work. Working in Tardeo means we are central to everything, which helps when we need to get to South Mumbai or up towards the suburbs. The elevator in this building is slow, so we often just take the stairs to the first floor. It keeps us moving and helps us stay on top of the daily grind.
