Arasan Gold Covering

We are located in a small place in Rajabali Chawl, right next to the Subhlax area in Dharavi. You can find us on the 9th Main Road in the 4th Block, right opposite where the old Dharavi Police Station used to be. It’s a very lively neighborhood and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We deal in gold covering items, which are basically jewelry pieces that look nice but aren't made of real gold. People from all over the area come in to look at the bangles and chains we have on display. The shop is quite small, so we have to keep everything very organized in little glass cases. It can get very hot inside during the summer, but we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze we can. We've been part of this community for quite a while and know many of the families who live in the nearby chawls. People stop by to see what's new or to get a small piece for a wedding or a festival. We don't do any big marketing or have a website. People just know we are here by word of mouth. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the items are shining. It's a humble business, but it keeps us busy from morning until the street lights come on in the evening.
