Apurv Engineering

Down here on Akurli Cross Road in Malad West, you’ll find us at Apurv Engineering at number 16. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us who know our way around machines. The shop is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment squeezed into a small space. There is always a faint smell of machine oil and metal shavings on the floor. We spend our days mostly bent over workpieces, trying to get things just right. It’s a lot of manual work, and our clothes usually end up with a few stains by the end of the day. The office is just a small partitioned area with a stool and a phone that rings more than it should. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that; we just answer the phone and talk to whoever needs help. Malad is a busy place, and the traffic on the cross road can be a real headache, but we’re used to it. We take our time with the work because rushing usually leads to mistakes. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so they don’t need much instruction. We just show up, do the engineering stuff that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a simple, straightforward way to work, and we like the independence it gives us. It is just how we have always done it.
