You will find Anjani Masala & Aata at 8991, Dr. Atma Rammarchan Road. We are directly opposite Anant Wardi in the Bhuleshwar area. Bhuleshwar is a very busy place, as anyone who lives here knows. There is always someone shouting, a horn honking, or people rushing by the window. We spend our days surrounded by the smell of ground spices and fresh flour. The machines we use for grinding are quite old but they still work perfectly fine. They make a rhythmic thumping sound that we’ve grown used to over the years. My father started this business a long time ago, and the shop hasn't changed much since then. The shelves are made of dark wood and they are always covered in a fine layer of flour dust. We don't have a website or a fancy logo. Our name is just painted on a board outside the door. It’s a small space, so we have to be very careful about where we stack the bags of grain. If we aren't organized, there is no room to move. People from the neighborhood come in every day for their supplies. We chat with them about the local news while we weigh out their orders. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. The heat in Bhuleshwar can be tough, but we have a big ceiling fan that helps a bit. It’s hard work, but we like it.
