Maxim Travels

Our office is at No. 1 Meghraj Apartments in Andheri East. It’s a ground floor spot which makes it easy for people to just wander in from the street. Maxim Travels has been here for a while, and the neighborhood of Andheri East is always humming with activity. Inside, it’s mostly just a few desks, some maps pinned to the walls, and a stack of brochures that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or staring at flight schedules on the computer. The chairs for the customers are a bit worn out, but they’re comfortable enough. Being in an apartment building means we know the neighbors and the security guards pretty well. We get a lot of noise from the main road, but you get used to it after a week or so. Sometimes the internet goes slow right when we are trying to book something, which is a real headache. We don’t have a fancy uniform or anything. Most days we just wear what’s comfortable and drink a lot of coffee. People come in to ask about train tickets or bus routes, and we do our best to find something that works for them. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a local travel shop where we try to keep things organized despite the chaos of the city.
