Anand Enginerring Works

Our workshop is at number 16 in the Jai Bharat Industrial Estate. That's in Goregaon East, right across from the Virvani Industrial Estate. It's a pretty loud place most of the time. There’s always the sound of machines cutting or grinding metal pieces. We do general engineering work. Usually, that means making specific parts or fixing something that broke on a bigger machine. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil spots on it no matter how much we clean. We aren't wearing fancy suits here, just work clothes that get dirty and greasy pretty fast. We've been operating out of this same spot for many years. The guys here know the machines inside out. Sometimes a job comes in that's a bit tricky, and we all huddle around to figure out how to weld it or cut it just right. It gets really hot in the summer inside the metal shed. We drink a lot of water and keep the big front shutters open to get some air. It's a busy estate, with trucks coming and going all the time. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. Most people just know us because we've been across from Virvani for a long time. We just focus on the metal and getting the dimensions right for the customer. It’s just how we earn our living here in Goregaon. No fancy talk, just hard work and machines every day.
