Anand Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is based at 66, Midc Road No. 13 in Andheri East. Working in MIDC means we’re surrounded by all sorts of companies and a lot of traffic. The building is pretty standard for this area—a concrete block that gets very warm in the afternoons. Inside, we have a mix of office space and a small area for testing out our designs. It’s often quite cluttered with blueprints and bits of hardware lying around. We spend most of our time in front of screens or having quick meetings around the main table. Andheri East is always moving, so we’re used to the constant sound of construction and cars. The commute can be a bit of a nightmare for some of us, but we show up every day anyway. We have a small pantry where we make our tea, which is the highlight of the mid-morning. We don't really have any corporate slogans or fancy mission statements on the walls. It’s just us doing the engineering work that needs to be done. The carpet is a bit worn in the spots where we walk the most, and the windows could probably use a good cleaning. We’re more focused on the technical details than how the office looks to outsiders. It’s a functional space for a group of people who just want to get their projects finished on time. We've been here for a while and the routine works for us, so we just keep at it.
