Amul Ice Creams

Our little shop is tucked away on the Main Pipe Line in Andheri West, right near the Dataathyeya Temple on Street 7. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads, though it gets a bit lively when there is a festival at the temple. We mostly have a few big freezers and a small counter where we serve the ice cream. Most of the kids from the neighborhood know us by name and they come in after school with their coins. It is nice seeing them grow up over the years. We keep the place simple because that is all we really need. On hot days, the freezers hum quite loudly and we have to make sure the power doesn't go out, which happens sometimes around here. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the favorite flavors are always available. It is not a big operation, just us making sure people get their cold treats. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside when things are quiet and watch the people going to the temple. The street can get a bit dusty with all the traffic, so we are always dusting off the glass lids. It is a steady job and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We don't have a big sign or anything special, people just know we are here by now. We just open up every day and wait for the regulars to stop by for a scoop.
