Amul Ice Cream Parlour

Being tucked away in Harman Nagar 4 in Bhandup West means we see the same faces almost every day. It is a busy little corner of the neighborhood. We mostly spend our time unloading crates and making sure the deep freezers stay at the right temperature. If the power goes out, we all start worrying, but luckily that doesn't happen too often lately. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside. We have the usual signs up and a couple of stools if someone wants to wait for their pack to be wrapped up. A lot of people come by just to grab a quick cone while they are walking home from work. We get a lot of aunties coming in for the big family packs during the wedding season or for festivals. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are standing at the counter, so things can get a little disorganized during the evening rush. We don't have a big team here, just a couple of us who know where everything is stored in the back. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to tell people to come back in an hour. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we get by. We like the neighborhood feel of Bhandup. People here don't expect anything too polished. They just want their favorite flavor and a bit of a chat about the weather for a minute or two.
