Amul Ice Cream Parlour

Our Amul Ice Cream Parlour is right by Ismail Yusuf College on Society Road 1 in Jogeshwari. It’s a small place. There's mostly just a counter and a few freezers inside. Being near the college means we see a lot of students every day. They come in between classes or right after they’re done for the day. It gets crowded. Especially in the afternoons when the sun is really beating down. We just try to serve everyone as fast as we can. It’s not a fancy lounge, just a place to get a cold scoop. We keep the freezers running twenty-four seven, which is a bit of a stress when the power goes out, but we manage. The staff here are local guys who live nearby. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. Sometimes we run out of the popular flavors like chocolate or mango, and people have to settle for something else. That’s just how it goes. We’ve been in this spot for a while. The neighbors know us well. It’s a simple business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a local ice cream shop for the college kids and the families living on Society Road. It’s a decent living. We like the people we meet. We don't need much else besides a working freezer and a good crowd to keep us busy through the week.
