Amin Engineering Works

Our workshop is located over at Reti Bunder in the Gurukrupa Hutments area. Being near Sadekar Hotel makes it easier for people to find us since Darukhana is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We do a lot of general engineering work here. There’s always the sound of metal being cut or welded. It’s a tight space, but we have our machines set up in a way that works for us. Reay Road is always moving with trucks and scrap material, so we fit right in with the local scene. We don’t have a front office or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of the time, our hands are covered in oil or dust from the projects we're finishing up. We take on small jobs mostly, stuff that bigger factories don't want to bother with. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets pretty loud when it rains, but we keep working through it. People bring us parts that need fixing or ask us to make something from a drawing they have. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a hardworking neighborhood. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy every day of the week. We try to stay organized but things get cluttered when we are in the middle of a big job.
