Living and working out of Flat No. 106 in Dheeraj Enclave is an interesting experience. It is Building No. 4A and we are right opposite Bhor Industries. The Western Express Highway is just a stone's throw away. You can see the cars zooming by all night if you look out the window. Borivali East is a busy part of Mumbai to be in. Our place is on the first floor which makes it easy to go up and down. We do not have to wait for the lift much during the rush hour. The windows get very dusty because of the highway traffic and the construction nearby. We have to wipe them down almost every day or things get gritty. Inside the flat, we have set up our desks and computers. It does not look like a corporate office at all. It looks like a home where people happen to work. There are some plants on the balcony that my wife looks after carefully. They struggle a bit with the fumes from the road but they stay green. We get our lunch from a local dabba service most days. The food is okay but sometimes it is a bit too oily. Dheeraj Enclave is a decent society and the people are mostly quiet. Sometimes the security guard comes up to chat about the building politics. We have been in this spot for a while now. It keeps us busy.
