We are set up at Shop No 11 in Maharashtra Bhavan. It’s located in the Fort area, specifically within the Shatrunjay Vihar Society in Maharshee Nagar. Most people know it as being right behind Handloom House. It’s a busy little corner of the city. We spend our days here at the desk, looking at maps and booking things for people who want to go somewhere. The shop isn't very large. There's just enough space for a couple of desks and some chairs for people to sit while we talk. We’ve been doing this travel stuff for a good while. People come in asking about trains or buses, and we do what we can to figure out the best way for them to get there. It’s mostly just us and the computer. The neighborhood around Fort is always buzzing, so there is a lot of noise from the street coming in. We don’t have any fancy vacation posters plastered everywhere, just the essentials to get the bookings done. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s just us waiting for the next person to walk through the door. We know the local area well since we've been behind Handloom House for years. It’s a practical business. We just help people get from one place to another without making a big fuss about it.
