Ambe Engineering

At Ambe Engineering in Goregaon East 2, we spend our time working with machines and metal. It is a typical workshop environment where things are always a bit loud and there is a lot of activity. Goregaon East is a busy part of town and being in section 2 means we are around a lot of other small businesses. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside but we have the tools we need to get things done. We usually have a few projects going on at once so the floor is often covered in scraps and tools. It’s a practical space designed for work rather than looking good for visitors. Most of our day is spent measuring, cutting, and fitting parts together. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just engineering work and we’ve been at it for a while now. The air inside can get a bit warm and stuffy when the machines have been running for a few hours. We usually keep the doors open to get a bit of a breeze from the street. You can hear the trains sometimes since we aren't too far from the station. It is a steady way to make a living and we like the routine of it. We just show up, do the jobs that come in, and head home. There’s always another piece of metal that needs working on before the day is out.
