Our place is inside the Akhalwaya Building at number 1 in the Fort area. It is one of those older buildings in Mumbai where the walls have some history and the hallways are a bit narrow. We have been operating out of here for some time now, dealing with all kinds of travel plans and the paperwork that comes with them. The office is usually filled with papers and files because there is always a lot to keep track of when people are going abroad. Being in Fort means it is always noisy outside with the traffic, honking, and people rushing to their own offices. We just focus on getting the itineraries right for whoever walks through the door. Sometimes it is a family looking for a holiday and other times it is just a person needing a quick ticket to another city. We don't do anything flashy here. It is just desks, computers, and a lot of phone calls to airlines and hotels. Most of the day is spent checking schedules and making sure everything is lined up for the clients. If you come by, you might have to wait a bit if we are stuck on the phone. We know the area well and have seen many businesses come and go around us over the years. It is a busy spot but we like it here. We just try to be useful and handle the travel stuff so people don't have to worry about the details themselves. It’s a straightforward business and we keep it that way.
