Ali Haiden General Store

Ali Haiden General Store is right on N R Road in Kurla East. We are a typical neighborhood shop that stocks everything from washing powder to bags of rice. The store is quite packed, and we use every inch of space, even hanging packets of chips from the ceiling hooks. It can be a bit hard to navigate the aisles if someone else is already in there. Kurla East is a very busy place, and N R Road is always full of people and vehicles. We get a lot of noise from the street, but we are used to it by now. I run the shop with my son, and we are open from early morning until late at night. The shelves are made of old wood and they sag a bit under the weight of the bottles. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on for the news. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use candles or a small torch to find things for the customers. We don't have any fancy computer systems; I still write everything down in a big ledger book. People from the nearby chawls come here because we are close and they can buy things in small quantities. It is a humble business. We aren't looking to grow into a big chain. We just want to keep the shop running and serve the people around here.
